Infrastructure Roles
Help us build the thing!
Infrastructure leads should be able to join us in Black Rock City during build and burn weeks (Aug 24 – Sept 7).
Welders
Do you have MIG, TIG, or large-scale sculptural experience? Help us fabricate and assemble structural components over the next few months. Portland-based welders preferred, but we ain’t picky.
Kitchen Lead
Who feeds the fire feeders? Maybe it’s…YOU. As our Kitchen Lead, you’ll plan meals and manage our kitchen volunteers to keep the crew fed during build and burn weeks.
On-Playa Logistics / Art Support Camp Co-Lead
Want to be part of a dastardly duo? Our Logistics Coordinator is seeking a co-lead to help coordinate people and camp from build through strike.
Power Lead
BzzzzZZZAAAAAPPPPP. That’s the sound you can prevent as our Power Lead! Design and manage our electrical power — from generators and safety to on-playa troubleshooting.
LNT Lead
Whether you consider yourself trashy or just a trash aficionado, join as our MOOP Manager to lead cleanup and ensure that we Leave No Trace.

Lead Narrative Writer
Work with guest/ghost writers to shape Lookout!’s unfolding story and protagonist narrative, which will be incorporated into sound design elements, tactile art pieces, and the participant experience.
Guest/Ghost Writers
Contribute a portion of the progressive story that reveals itself over the course of the week. Writers will help build the mythology, voice, and emotional arc of Lookout!
Voice Actor
Seeking a mature, weathered voice to perform the protagonist’s narrative. Recording will take place in a professional sound design studio.
