Lead RolesPRE + ON PLAYA
Help us build the thing! Much of the creative work will happen before Burning Man, but pre-playa leads can opt to join us in Black Rock City. On-playa leads should be able to join us in BRC for the pre-burn build week and the week of Burning Man (roughly Aug 24 – Sept 7).
Fundraising Lead
Help us find and pursue grants, collaborations, and donation opportunities. You’ll have team support, but self-direction and some experience will be important. ~3 hours per week pre-playa. Apply now →
Events Lead

Writers
Help us craft the world of Lookout! by dreaming up journal entries from the perspective of Fire Tower Lookout staff. You’ll have lots of creative freedom — entries can range from the mundane to the fantastical. Write one entry or weave a multi-part tale. Apply now →

Welders

Power Lead (On Playa)

Social Media Lead
Post across our social channels. Share updates, build excitement, and show the world what we’re bringing to the playa. ~2-3 hours per week (posting + team check-ins). This role has been filled!
Power Lead (Pre Playa)
BzzzzZZZAAAAAPPPPP. That’s the sound you can prevent as our Power Lead! Design and manage our electrical power before we head out to playa. This role has been filled!
Kitchen Lead
Who feeds the fire feeders? Maybe it’s…YOU. As our Kitchen Lead, you’ll plan meals and manage our kitchen volunteers to keep the crew fed during build and burn weeks. This role has been filled!
Art Lead
Come lead our art team! As our Art Project Manager, you’ll coordinate artists, help our installations come together on track, and keep things moving smoothly before and on playa.
Art Support Camp Co-Lead
